About AVL (Alabama Virtual Library)

AVL, the Alabama Virtual Library, is a website started to help students, as well as others, have direct access to tools normally found in the library. These are magazines, journals, etc. This way if you are unable to get to the library, they have made it easy for to get the information you need through their site.

I think it is very helpful. There are many different sites to visit. One is Funk and Wagnall's New World Encyclopedia for the people who just refuse to go and find someone who still has encyclopedias. There is the Oxford English Dictionary to make sure you've spelled a word right or look up a definition. There is also the Auto Repair Reference Center so we can keep those cars running as long as we can without having to go to the mechanic.
